There was a time when the Ramnee was a vibrant venue in Forres: a restaurant/bar, function space and hotel. Now it is a shadow of that and although it acts as a good hotel it doesn't really seen to be successful as it once was. The rooms are a bit tired and a good dose of capital investment would be desirable. I think if covid hadn't happened then this investment may have happened, but sadly not but it is now required. Rooms: 3

Country hotel, good breakfast included, and handy to everything in Forres. Has a evening meal which would cover most tastes. Set in nice grounds Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value

Had a fantastic weekend recently at the hotel, great warm welcome, and service from Chris and all the staff all weekend. Very peaceful and quite surroundings and great lawned area to the front of the hotel. Rooms: Spacious and bed very comfortable Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, Great value

Whilst the decor is a little dated and could do with some freshening up, the food was excellent. I'm not sure why the covid protection screens remain though. Hotel highlights: Quiet
