The Cross House Inn - Formby

I met a friend for lunch at this restaurant and it was not very crowded. However, the place was nice and clean, and the young man serving us was friendly. We both ordered a pie, one chicken and ham, and the other steak and ale. Both pies were well presented and delicious. The meal arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and the server checked on us to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything else. He even came back after our meal to ask again if we needed anything, which is not common in other places. Overall, it was a very enjoyable lunch experience.

This restaurant was truly lovely. After a long walk on the beach, we decided to have dinner here. The experience was absolutely amazing. We tried the new burger with mac and cheese and the fish and chips, both of which were delicious. The dessert was also great. The children's meal was a good value for money, as my 7-year-old still talks about the size of her Yorkshire pudding. We will definitely be returning soon to try the steak and ale pie.

We regularly visit The Cross House in Formby and can honestly say we have never encountered any issues. The staff always take the time to chat and ensure everything is going well. It's wonderful to see Jill and Frank back in charge. We held a party there a few years ago and everything was taken care of. We highly recommend The Cross House to everyone. It's a fantastic place.

I stayed at this restaurant with my dog, Storm, in our campervan. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed a few drinks. The management and staff were attentive and friendly. What was most important to me was that the restaurant is fully dog-friendly.

My partner and I enjoy exploring different restaurants for lunch, and we recently discovered a new favorite spot! Upon entering, we were warmly welcomed by the girl working behind the bar, who informed us that we could choose any available seat. The restaurant's decor is beautiful and quirky, with an inviting outdoor seating area as well. Our food arrived hot and was absolutely delicious. For starters, we ordered the sharing nachos with an extra topping of BBQ pulled pork, and it was huge - easily enough for three people. The pulled pork was especially outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, we will definitely be returning.
