Kings Newmarket - Forest Heath

Don’t let the unassuming appearance fool you. The place is historic, tracing back to King James I and still has a charming interior and garden. Gathered here for an alumni tour. Tempted by the warm frangipane on the blackboard. More cake-like than crumbly, but still tastes lovely. Not too sweet by British standard. Service is really friendly. The restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere indoors and a lovely seating area outdoors. Service and location both receive a rating of 5.

We stayed for three nights to attend a big wedding in Cambridge. We didn't mind the wonky stairs. They just added character to a very old building. The staff were brilliant friendly and we slept like logs in a comfortable bed. We would stay again but it would be better if they kept the car park for guests only. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5
