Apocalypse Ale Works - Forest

I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was terrible and they showed no concern for their customers. It's a big disappointment.

My brother recommended this brewery to me and he has probably visited most, if not all, of the breweries in this area at least twice. We stopped by for a few drinks on a recent afternoon. I really liked the layout of the place, it has a laid back and cozy vibe with plenty of seating for private conversations. The music was at a good volume, not too loud. It looks like they also have trivia nights and special events. I tried the Hell Frozen Over IPA and the Wrath of the Lamb Stout. Both were good, with the stout being especially great. It was a high-proof beer that went down smooth and had a lot of flavor. I bought a 6-pack of their New England style IPA to take home with me for a reasonable price of $10, which is much cheaper than other places I've been. If I lived in the area, this is definitely a brewery I would visit regularly. My only suggestion would be to have a solid food menu with options like pretzels, beer cheese, pizza by the slice, and sliders.

Why would a place have menus on the table with no explanations of their ordering process? When I approached the bar for help, the bartender completely ignored me and continued chatting with his regular customers. This lack of customer service spoke volumes, so we decided to leave and will not be returning.

No service period. Bartender was busy entertaining his friends. We left. Went somewhere else.

Great brewery with indoor outdoor seating ample room for kids dogs to run. I tried 2 flights and it was all excellent. Sampled from light IPAs to the dark porter. (I was NOT driving). There is a train track directly behind the brewery and I found the train to sound lovely not a lot of honking as much as soothing clickity clack. The bartender was really entertaining he takes no pity and all the locals seemed to adore him. I did too.
