Lenape Heights Golf Resort is such a beautiful location for a wedding. The backdrop is perfect for pictures. The rooms for getting ready are flooded with natural light and very spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. I photographed a fall wedding there and the leaves were stunning in the background.
We recently held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at Lenape . We also stayed at the hotel on site. Our event coordinator was beyond amazing to work with. Organized with every detail. The day of wedding, the other person was by our side to help make the day special. We were greeted with warmth, welcoming and professionalism. The grounds are beautiful, venue is superb. Hotel is beyond words. Highly recommended
You will pay around 86 dollars per plate for your wedding guests to have cold food and weak drinks. So many things I was told by the sales manager, Melissa that were not communicated or followed through by the wedding coordinator, Jocelyn on the day of. I tried to have everything squared away so I wouldn't run into issues the day of the wedding, by asking questions way ahead of time. Lenape Heights dropped the ball and made my wedding day stressful for a bride. What I was told ahead of time did not happen. I was told there would be golf carts to help transport guests up the hill from the ceremony to the reception. That did not happen. I asked ahead of time if my bridal party can get drinks before the bar closes so we would have a drink for dinner. The bar closes at 5:30 after cocktail hour, but the bridal party entrance was at 5:40 (per the venue timeline of events . I was told Jocelyn will be my runner for anything I needed, and she agreed she would make sure my bridal party and I would be able to get drinks for the toast upon our entrance (she said this at rehearsal the day prior . Well Jocelyn was never anywhere to be found to carry this out the day of . Even the kitchen staff were trying to find her all evening. My bridal party and I toasted with water, how embarrassing. I paid to have beer and mixed drinks soooo why was my bridal party excluded from having this upon arrival when I was told they would make sure we could get this. I hate begging for service I pay good money for. Once the kitchen staff came by I asked for some drinks but it wasnt until then they got us anything--too bad it was after the toasts. When the bar was closed (immediately after cocktail hour which is also before bridal party entrance no one would come to the window so it was impossible to get a drink before then for the bridal party. Later on in the night, I had to beg for my cake to be cut and served. The kitchen staff seem to have to wait to be told what to do by Jocelyn even though I was told by Jocelyn the cake would be served immediately following dinner. Then she disappeared and neglected to direct the kitchen staff. I searched and found Jocelyn to ask about the cake being served again she said it would be during the father/Daughter Dance. Unfortunately, cake came almost an hour after dinner and the father/daughter dance and guests had already left by then. I had to run up to the kitchen staff as the bride to remind them to serve the cake after waiting this long. Why am I (the bride doing Jocelyn's job? I was told by Melissa we would have golf carts to help guests to get from the ceremony space to the reception ball room, that did not happen. We requested this with Jocelyn and was told that they would have golf carts available. The day of this did not happen and when we told the manager, Josh the next day, he said he was recently hired as general manager after getting new owners he's not too sure about the event side of things (nor did he seem to care much but he would have made sure we had golf carts to help people get to each space (its a decent hill to walk up and down for individuals with low mobility. He said he would make it right but then we never heard back again. They got their money, what do they care at this point. Idk, searching for Jocelyn was annoying. The next day when I went to clean the ballroom there was another event going on (a high-school reunion and the guests setting up asked me if I knew where Jocelyn was! HA! Sad that that is the trend. Find somewhere else to make YOUR wedding day or any other event easier on you and your guests. The staff at the hotel were pretty awesome though!
This hotel is gorgeous with stunning views to match. The rooms are all larger than normal with high ceilings that make potential noise from the other guest rooms non-existent. The size and space of the rooms make them feel more open and as spacious as they actually are especially with the minimal decorating style, so the room doesn't feel cluttered or overwhelming in anyway. All of the rooms have balconies or a patio, so you can enjoy the view day or night. This hotel also has the most comfortable beds, with pillow soft duvet's and pillows that make you feel like your head is resting on a cloud. The bathrooms have very sexy (accurate description) glass rain showers, and they are truly glorious. The breakfast is also absolutely delicious. The beds are so comfortable and inviting, that you may not get the chance to enjoy the breakfast. The rates are comparable to hotels of it's caliber, probably in part to the focus being on your comfort and not the design, which is a plus, not a negative. The staff is down to earth and are just genuinely as nice as they are personable. So this hotel really does have it all style, beauty, comfort, and most of affordability, and I recommend the Lenape Heights Golf Course Hotel highly. As a side note, having professionally work for literally almost every brand over 27 years, I have also had the privilege to stayed and experienced each one personally, so I know you will absolutely enjoy your stay as much as I have, and will stay here every time I am in town. I would have added photos, but you'll want to see the view for yourself, and then you'll know a simple photo wouldn't do it justice.
