It isn't easy to find great fish and chips but this young man has managed to create a lovely business. I'll be a repeat customer. It's take-out only, so call in your order and it will be ready when you get there. This was a real find for me.
Being British I was somewhat skeptical of a decent fish and chips place. I recently had haddock and chips and quite honestly it was fantastic. The Haddock was done perfectly, no bones, not dry and perfectly cooked with a light batter. The chips were simply brilliant. I live just round the corner and will return very soon!!!!
This is superior quality fish and chips made with sustainable fish. Sure you pay a little more for the quality and it might take a few more minutes but it's worth it.
Thiss strictly take out and Fish and chips is very good with several other food selections. Reasonably priced and good service.
Why is is so difficult to find a great fish and chip shop in Pelham? Tried the 2 piece Haddock and chips ($16.95 plus tax) the other night. Quantity of food was substantial - easily shared by two. The beer batter was disappointing - dark brown and leathery looking. The fish inside was well cooked but we discarded most of the batter. Chips nothing special, and the portion of coleslaw was minuscule and hardly worth the effort. Why is is to difficult to find light crispy batter - the fish and chips offered at the Pelham Street Grill is a much better option. Sorry Black Pearl, but your fish and chips was average looking and tasting and not really worth a repeat visit.
