Sushi Miguel Style Ii - Fontana

I went to eat here based on the great reviews. I was soooo disappointed. There was 4 of us and could only manage to eat one of the 4 rolls we ordered it was not good. After awhile of trying to make each other eat it to get our moneys worth we finally decided to ask for a box to not make the waiter feel bad that we hated the food and threw away 3 rolls when we walked out! The fresh rolls were not cold, the breading on the fried rolls was thick and not good at all it all smelled fishy! : The only one we could eat was one called amazing roll . On the flip side The waiter was great! He was friendly attentive and we had fast service. The food tho.. No. never again.

As kind as the staff were, I would not recommend or come back to this location. I ordered 4 different types of rolls and the sashimi platter. First impression with the sashimi is that it wasn't as fresh as it could be, and some of the pieces had a fishy smell. A few of the pieces were chewy, including the albacore which I had to spit out because it wouldn't break down. The other notable factor was the rice that was given under the sashimi. It was not fresh or soft, and some were on the crunchy side. I'm unsure how often they make their rice or if they use old rice from days before, and I understand rice won't always be fresh out of the pot, but I couldn't finish the rice with the sashimi platter. As for the rolls, they were below average. The prices were a lot lower than other sushi spots but the rolls were not impressionable. If you don't really care about high quality fish or rolls, then it's a good spot to go to. When I first got into sushi back in high school, I thought the Ralph's sushi set was amazing, and this quality of sushi is on the same level as grocery store sushi. It's good for those who don't have an acquired taste for sushi. On the plus side, the staff and Miguel's sauce was amazing! Don't go here if you don't want the servers to tip themselves when you paid card. I've tried to call to hopefully get this situated but apparently there's only a manager on Mondays and Saturdays?! And even then not even really on Saturday. The server with a bandage over her neck with a voice like a smoker tipped herself $10 when I put $0 because she was slow and wasn't a good server. No way would I pay almost $50 for something that's advertised as $30

I normally go to the Miguel Sushi in Colton, CA and the service is ALOT better. Our table kept getting the wrong food delivered to our table and when I tried to substitute spicy tuna with salmon on one of the rolls I ordered they stated it would cost me extra although in Colton they have never charged me extra for substituting fish in my rolls. All the staff looks fairly new so everyone looks very confused. My food also took a long time.

This place was a hit ! A go to place for sushi but since they started charging 18% of gratitude to any bill and 4 dollars for extra spicy mayo. That 's a No no for me ! They are charge pretty good for an all you can eat. Cmon people please check your receive before paying it!! They tent to put extra stuff that it 's supposed to be included in the ayce. Not to mention a year ago one of the girls working there almost hit my PREGNANT sister ! And she still working there like nothing ever happened. Food is good but not worth it !
