Just Vegana - Fontana

This restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious vegan Mexican dishes. The chicken tacos are a must-try, and the nacho cheese is simply amazing.

After I saw a contribution to instagram that she wanted to make a vegan pop-up stand in fontana, I knew I had to make the trip to try a vegan Mexican food. when I was standing on, I was greeted by a friendly lady. Hubby asked if one of her food items contained nuts and the young lady quickly replied that they use cashews in their nacho cheese. although the use cashews in their nacho cheese, they mentioned that nabeby could topped any of their food with a non-nut base cheese they use for their quesadillas. I decided to order a vegan shrimp quesadilla for the stand that was juicy, tasteful and filled. the salsa was the perfect topping for the queensadilla. hubby decided to order the carnitas street tacos and a glass aqua fresca. loud hubby, the carnitas taco said they were well fed and he would definitely have them again and the aqua fresca was also good. Although she has closed her Pomona site, I count the days until her location opens fontana so that I can give my taste buds another taste of authentic vegan Mexican food.

This spot and the pop-up are fantastic! I started with the tamales and champurrado, thinking that would be sufficient, but I ended up returning for tacos and a sope. There’s also a pambazo that I didn’t get to try, but I’ll definitely be back for that! I can’t wait to return again and again.

Buttercup and I went adventuring to Clairmont and Pomona out of pure COVID boredom saw the quaint down town of Clairmont and walked around the School campuses then drove through and looked at the historic buildings in Pomona, but the highlight of the day was Just Vegana. The staff was good they were friendly and clearly enjoyed what they were doing and were having fun, they were just finishing my order and confirming that it was correct when I arrived. I really appreciated that last quality check. I did a quick search saw the pics and knew this place was going to be the real deal in tacos. The community of Pomona wouldn't tolerate whitewashed BS tacos. We were so right this place was amazing. The prices were great especially for the serving size, the quality was there with the food made fresh and I really loved that the onion, cilantro, and lime were served on the side. There was so much that food that I had enough leftovers for lunch today. Buttercup had the Shrimp burrito and it was huge and again 2 meal. I took a bite of her burrito and the rice was really good the veggies were great. I am not a fan of imitation shrimp it is a textural thing so I cannot say I personally loved it but my daughter totally did. The last thing to discuss was the cheese sauce on the fresh chips. Nothing to discuss it was possibly the best cheese sauce I have had since going vegan. The chips were fresh and made in house. I cannot wait to go back, hopefully they can open up in house dining soon and I can take better pics of the food being enjoyed onsite not all weird in my car.
