I believe his name was Joshua at the front desk both nights that I stayed, great and very helpful guy. The restaurant on site had amazing food and was also accommodating since I ordered 20 minutes before close. Would recommend this hotel to amy body and it’s in super close comparison with the other hotel pricing in the area but 10x better quality.
This hotel was amazing with great staff! Hotel was clean and the rooms were nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and there was minimal noise so technically you can sleep! There is no iron but a steamer and we had a covered parking which was lovely on the summer heat. Stayed there during the Oshkosh Airshow as it is a mere 25min away.Rooms: Funnily decorated rooms. Almost gothic but with great amenities. The TV is hidden in the bed which is hilarious
It is a very cool old hotel. nicely redone. super expensive for what you get. our room was a king with NO view. got no extras or amenities. price gouged just like everyone else for the air show. SHAME.
Cleaning service was terrible. On the first day, they arrived a little before 9:00 a.m. which caught us by surprised. As we were still dressing, we asked if the could come back in 30 minutes they never returned. On the 2nd day, we requested service at the front desk cleaning service never arrived. We were later informed the cleaning service was only on sight for an 1 to 1.5 hours. On the 3rd day we requested service at the front desk in the morning before breakfast, along with fresh towels... we left and returned at 2:00 pm to find the room still not cleaned. We were then told that we had to be out of the room in 20 minutes because the cleaning service left at 3:00. When we returned from a Wedding Anniversary later that night... there was no toilet paper, no tissues, no soap replenishment, and only 1/2 of the trash can materials were removed.
I can't rate this hotel five stars based on my experience there. Five stars means the hotel is pretty much perfect and that is just not the case, at least not for me. The noise coming from the AC was obnoxious and so loud that we could not hear the TV's or sleep at night. We had to turn ithem off because it was so bad. The initial room on the 4th floor looked okay but the bedroom looked right into the parking garage. We were moved to room 834 which looked abandoned, however the view was much better. The floors in this room were severely scratched, and the walls and painted surfaces were dirty and scuffed. The biggest issue was the water leaking from both showers. It took all the towels we had to clean up water after showering. We were moved to the Dilinger Suite which was very generous considering the rate per night but the room was really not appropriate for us. It was a conference room space that smelled of fresh paint that made me nauseous. There was no microwave and nothing on the counters but space. The huge dining room table served no purpose. The views were the best in the hotel but that's it. I actually would have rather stayed in a residential unit or a one-bedroom with showers that didn't have water flooding everything. One of the outlets near on the left bedside table looked like it had been pulled out but we fixed it. The lobby was nice and the restaurant was okay. I was disappointed with the experience to be completely honest. The only good thing was Joshua and how helpful and kind he was. Joshua, at the front desk, I believe he is a manager, was very nice and extremely helpful.
