Taco Boy - Folly Beach

The restaurant is very well-informed about vegan options. We started with chips, guacamole, and salsa. Almost every taco can be made vegan by substituting tofu, and each one we tried was delicious. We had the Kimchi Tofu, Firecracker Tofu, and Tempura Avocado tacos, all of which were filled with amazing flavors.

Most tacos can be substituted with tofu. All the dishes were delicious.

After completing a 3-mile bike ride, we decided to stop at this restaurant. We enjoyed some delicious vegan tacos and amazing rice before continuing on our biking journey for another 3 miles. My top picks were the tempura avocado taco and the kimchi tofu taco. The tofu was flavorful and it was easy to spot the vegan options on the menu.

Delicious, creative tacos! Vegan and gluten free options

This Folly Beach restaurant is a fun Taco Boy location (and the original Taco Boy). We went on Christmas Eve and it was really busy, so we had a 30 minute wait. The food was great. The only negative was that our food took a really long time to get to our table. The waitress made up for it by giving us our appetizer (salsa and chips which are typically free at Mexican restaurants anyway) for free. Even without the tasty food, this is a fun experience just for the fun atmosphere.
