But were talked into trying the fish taco. She said it was on a burrito shell so was large cut in half. We shared it. Was very tasty. Just some lettuce and tomato with thousand island dressing and then fish topping that, but for the price that was a lot of fish. No sides come with it but it 's filling enough by itself, even half of it was filling! Tempted to go back for the fish dinner that was also recommended to us. We tasted the bushwhacker mixer and it 's very close to the taste of what we learned to make 30+ years ago in St Thomas USVI. Reading menus And discussing bushwackers with other restaurants, most of them have all the wrong ingredients. I would buy a bushwhacker at sassy bass. They have a good mix.
Soooo this isn't Crazy Donuts anymore. I'm not sure why it still has reviews from the old place. But anyway, Sassy Bass has great food. I had the shrimp n grits and my hubby had the snapper with skillet corn and scalloped potatoes. It was all soooo good. Paige was our waitress and she was so sweet to my kids. Will be back!
Stopped in for dinner last night. The server was great, however the food and the cook was terrible. I could hear the cook yelling about having to cook orders and slamming things around. I really don’t think she likes her job. When our food finally came out it was sub par. The shrimp tasted like it had been soaked in lime juice. Not a good experience. This place needs to do better.
This place is ok. You 'd think with a name like Sassy Bass this would be a very beachy place. The menu claims this place is outrageously fun. There 's party lights strung up, but there 's not even music playing in here. There 's about 6 tables on the inside with one guy waiting on all of them. He has cute dimples, so that was nice. There 's 3 other people working, but they seem to be just standing around doing nothing. I 'm convinced the raving reviews for this place is from water park patrons who haven 't had solid food or a cold drink in the last few hours so anything is spectacular to them. The food is just alright. I got the shrimp po boy and it was as dry as my mom 's feet. They left off the cole slaw so i asked for it. The shabam sauce made it better. If you want seafood with the fun beachy atmosphere, this ain 't it.
My husband I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was amazing. We had a wonderful waitress named Andrea and we asked to meet the Chef, AJ. They were so friendly joking around with us and made our experience so much fun. We came back a couple of weeks later and brought relatives from out of town. They loved the food. The prices are affordable too. We will keep going back.
