Let's start with the All-Star Special, a true MVP of the Waffle House menu. This meal is the ultimate breakfast platter, featuring a combination of eggs, bacon, toast, and of course, a waffle. The eggs over medium were cooked to perfection, with a warm and runny yolk that complemented the salty bacon and crispy toast. And the waffle? It was a true game-changer. Golden brown and crispy on the outside, yet fluffy and soft on the inside, it was the perfect vehicle for the sweet syrup and butter. But the true star of the show was the pecan waffle. This was no ordinary waffle, as it was loaded with crunchy pecans that added a delightful texture and flavor to each bite. It was a true homerun, and I found myself savoring every bite until the very last crumb. And let's not forget about the hash browns, which were scattered, covered, and smothered to perfection. These crispy and golden brown potatoes were the ideal side dish to the All-Star Special, adding a savory and satisfying element to the meal. Whether you prefer your hash browns smothered in cheese or covered in onions, the Waffle House has got you covered. Overall, my experience at the Waffle House on Wade Hampton Boulevard was a slam dunk. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. If you're a breakfast lover like me, then the Waffle House is a must-visit destination. So grab a seat at the counter, order up an All-Star Special and a pecan waffle, and enjoy the Southern hospitality that the Waffle House is famous for.
Was five stars originally. Now less. Husband and I used to go there every weekend that something else didn 't take precedence. Over a month ago we noticed that one part or another of our orders wasn 't delivered to our table until we asked where it was. Bacon, waffle, pancake, etc. Then we noticed this had become a trend and started watching. The waitress, not the same one each time, had been simply forgetting to call the items out since they do call plates out in stages so everything is ready to plate at the same time. At the end, same waitress was doing it like she wasn 't all there, and making excuses about Oops I dropped it and had to reorder, several visits in a row. She was lying because we had watched. We are absent from there now. Better places all around town.
First time I've ever had to add salt to my food at Waffle House. Still good, usual service, busy. Pretty much as expected, though down Wade Hampton that WH is definitely better. It's like the same but just not really the same here. Ordered Texas melt on top of a Waffle, added egg and bacon. My usual...
I don't have any problems with music, however the jukebox was extremely too loud.
My go to when I'm home. Great group here. Food is always cooked to order and good service.
