Chicken Express - Flint

Good price and good quality of chicken and sides. I like you can get Plantains as a page instead of paying extra. Last time, my fries were not cooked completely, but I've eaten dozens of times here and it's never happened before. My favorite place. Casual dining room, but clean and plenty of space.

I ordered catfish and plain wings. Both were overcooked and bland. Catfish did not taste like catfish, more like swai, at the catfish price. I have eaten from this restaurant once before in January and it was truly tasteful. Very disappointed this go around. Will try once more,

Ordered chicken thinking we were getting chicken not chicken wings very disappointing and the mac n cheese tasted very suspect mashed potatoes were cold. There hush puppies were yummy and those beans were the saving grace of the whole meal.

Ordered a Full pan of Fish, Chicken, Mac N Cheese and Baked Beans for my moms 70th Surprise Birthday Party!! ? The food was excellent! Everyone asked who cooked the Mac and beans! The sides tasted just like homemade! I will only go to Chicken Express! Thank you Danny! We appreciate you!

Just like the classic hole in the wall eatery, there's not much too see on the outside and I was a little curious about hand dipped ice cream at a chicken shop. But man once I started ordering it became clear. I happened to choose the perfect time to visit when they were in the middle of get a delivery of fresh local made cakes, including my favorite- peach cobbler! That was the best peach cobbler I've ever had and the hand dipped ice cream on top just sent it over the edge, it all made sense now. Being it was my first visit I stuck with the standard 5piece wings, the dry rub flavor was amazing almost like a lemon zest or something and the fries were insanely good. Not sure how they do it but the fries are a perfect crispy but not burnt or mushy and delicous all by themselves no ketchup needed. I have to come back for more.
