Flemington Diner

This restaurant is a typical New Jersey diner, but I found it to be quite overpriced. They offer a wide variety of menu items, including large bakery goods, a sizeable ice cream bar, and numerous coffee options. My server, Abbey, provided excellent service. The restaurant also has a spacious banquet room for hosting events. Additionally, the bathrooms were very clean.

The service was average and the food was okay. This is the only restaurant in the Flemington area, not including the small mom and pop places in the city.

What a disaster! The waiter used her finger to serve us soup, and then pressured us to take our food to go 10 minutes before closing time. We felt rushed and asked for a food box, which she handed to us with her bare hand while counting money. As we were leaving, we overheard her complaining to the cashier about us being there past closing time. We were only waiting for the bill, which she had on her apron. The cashier, despite being experienced, was not friendly and seemed to prioritize other customers over us. We arrived at 8:05 PM and by closing time at 9:00 PM, they had lost two customers and a potential positive review.

The food at this restaurant is actually quite good, but I had a negative experience with the service. I came here for breakfast and when I realized I had made a mistake in my order, I apologized to the waitress. Instead of being understanding, she accused me and walked away. I'm not sure if she misunderstood my order or if I misspoke, but the least she could have done was accept my apology. It's important for the staff to improve their customer service skills. The food was delicious, but the service really put a damper on my overall experience.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and I will definitely be returning! The waiter was fantastic, very attentive but not overly so, and the food was delicious. What really impressed me was how clean the bathrooms were - a major deal breaker for me. If the bathrooms are dirty, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Luckily, the women's bathroom was spotless. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back for another visit!
