What can I say great family staff and the food is just amazing reminds me of my Nonna and mothers cooking Credit to everyone at Filicudi especially the cook she is world class cooks from her heart keep in mind that this restaurant has been there in five for over 35 years so yourself a favour and experience Italian food at Filicudi
DON'T ORDER THE TARTUFATA PIZZA if you want a hot (temperature) pizza. It is topped with COLD salami and COLD BUFFALO MOZZARELLA. After pointing this out to wait staff and the manager, the manager said these COLD toppings are standard for a Tartufata pizza. The salami in particular was not at room temperature it obviously had just been taken out of the fridge. I've never heard of a cold topped pizza.
My lovely son ordered me UberEats pizza from Filicudi, as a surprise to save me cooking after I’d had a difficult day. I was thrilled when he rang to tell me to expect it. I am vegetarian, so he’d ordered a vegetarian pizza. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to discover it had PINEAPPLE on it. A lot of pineapple. Just to be clear, pineapple is not a vegetable. I know some people think pineapple belongs on pizza, but I am not of this persuasion. Even though I meticulously picked off all the pineapple, there was still an unpleasant lingering sweetness. It was just one more bad experience in my day. If he had consulted your menu, he would have seen that you do state the pineapple. But he just rang and ordered generic vegetarian for me, out of the goodness of his heart, because I will eat (or so I thought until tonight) any version of vegetarian you can dream up. But not pineapple! Italians collectively are turning in their graves right now at this culinary sin.
Authentic Italian food. Pre-ordered Mussels with tomato/Garlic/wine based broth and Veggie pizza to start with. The best mussels at SydneyFollowed their white board specialty menu even though the menu is really extensive with a huge variety of choices. Cappacio with Parmesan and Rucola as prima plate; chicken breast with corn cream sauce was very special. Whole Snapper was really big. All Dessert dish are good.
