Nickel Plate Grill - Fishers

I’ve lived in the Fishers area for 59 years and have seen the Nickel Plate transform from a basic bar into what it is today. Recently, we took my cousin and her sister, along with their brother-in-law, there for dinner to celebrate my cousin's birthday. Just yesterday (July 12, 2008), my sister and her boyfriend picked up tenderloin sandwiches, coleslaw, and baked beans from the Nickel Plate to bring to my dad’s house for his 86th birthday. Out of the nine tenderloins we ordered, the only one with any gristle was my dad's. He mentioned that the sandwich was very tasty, although it was a bit too large for him. I cut mine in half to save room for the ice cream and peach pie I brought for the celebration! I haven't found anywhere that matches Nickel Plate's tenderloins, and after trying one of their Reubens, I can confirm it's fantastic as well! The service has always been excellent. I've heard that Tom Harper prepares some amazing potato skins, and I'm looking forward to trying them!

I've dined here around six times, and every experience has been outstanding. The ambiance is ideal for spending time with friends or colleagues. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Additionally, it's conveniently situated in downtown Fishers.
