Chatham Tap Pub - Fishers

We have been going to this location for many years and have enjoyed the hot wings. The last several orders, the sauce tasted very different. It just tastes like vinegar. After many years of patriotism, we will not be going back.

An English pub style restaurant serving some traditional English items as well as twists on local favorites. It's a good place to hang out if you want to watch soccer games and the fish chips is yummy.

Their signature wing sauce tastes like maple syrup with a touch of cayenne. I'm sure a lot of people like it but I wasn't expecting to eat sweet chicken wings. Their hot sauce was better but more mild than Frank's red. Not very crispy either. Very expensive menu. Wings were extra large which makes it better but I won't be back.

We have been going here since the place opened. Some of the food is outstanding, and some is just meh. The wings are absolutely the best thing on the menu sooo good! Pizza and sandwiches also good. The salads are just big bowls of lettuce. Totally skip the salads. So, it really depends on what you get. For long time customers, the problem is that the menu never, ever changes and there are never, ever any specials. We are tired of the same items so we go there way less than we used to. Another issue for me personally is that the women's bathroom has had no renovation since the place was Fionn MacCools over 10 years ago. It's moldy and dingy and smells like sewage. The last time we were at the Tap, the sewage smell had somehow overcome the entire restaurant and I completely lost my appetite. (This isn't usually the case. It's a place that needs a bit of TLC from management.

The atmosphere was not what I expected which was referred to by friends. My wife had the fish and chips. The breading on the small penciled sized fish was puffed up which made the fish breading doughy. I had a sandwich which was very skimpy with ingredients to make the sandwich. They had very little of serving of French fries. Granted the server was polite and very attentive. The restaurant could be cleaner as well. After this experience we will not patronize this establishment again.
