I attached a photo of the kiosk screen where you purchase arcade credits. Notice the message stating, "no refunds and no change will be given." What a terrible message to send to customers! I put in a $50 bill, expecting to get $30 in credits, but now I’m stuck with $50 worth. That feels like a scam. Additionally, some games offer less than two minutes of playtime. On our last visit, three games were broken and had no signage indicating they were out of order—the Mario Kart arcade had a steering wheel that constantly veered to the right, the fidget spinner game took credits twice without allowing any play, and the third player in Halo couldn’t activate the grenade trigger. As for the dining experience, it has consistently been disappointing. Not just once or twice, but five times now. Our most recent visit followed the same pattern we’ve encountered before: after being seated, we waited nearly 15 minutes for a server to greet us and take our drink order. After another 15 minutes, our drinks finally arrived, and we placed our dinner orders. Twenty minutes later, only half of our meals came out, leaving part of our group waiting. Another 15 minutes passed before the rest of the order—a couple of personal pizzas—arrived. We finished our meal before the server even asked if we wanted drink refills, which we requested but never received. After we finished eating, we waited an additional 25 minutes for our bill. I paid and tipped the server $20 on a $60 order just to eliminate the negative vibe that had been building up. This same experience has happened five times over three years. It seems to reflect how the restaurant is managed. While I can be patient and understand that off nights can happen in the service industry, this is just excessive. This place is turning into another venue where families have to fork out a small fortune just to have a good time. Let’s stop overcharging families for entertainment. You can achieve long-term profitability through repeat customers rather than taking advantage of someone during a single visit. Come on, Pinejads—please do better.
We love all the activities! Fun and always updated arcade games. We love the food and drinks. A good amount of choices to look through and try. Now for the three stars. The service, its awful. We were seated in the restaurant portion and we never got served. We ended up leaving. Servers are kids, they have zero experience. This has happened three times so its most likely the experience most of the time.
We visited Pinheads because my grandmother wanted to try the tenderloin trail, something I had never heard of before. Today, she called me asking if I had forgotten to enter a code for the trail. She went to Roots and the server there gave her a code. I called your restaurant for assistance, but they asked for my grandmother's card number and the time and date of the receipt. I'm okay with providing the receipt details, but I'm uncomfortable sharing her card number. Is it normal for you to ask for this information? I also requested to speak with a manager, but was told there wasn't one available, which seems odd. Could you please clarify whether my grandmother's card information is required to receive her code? Thank you, Christina M.
Currently, the arcade is in the process of implementing some new card technology, which has led to a few hiccups—some machines were out of order, and the card dispensers ran out of the new RFID cards for a short period. However, I believe that once they sort out these issues, things will run smoothly. This weekend was particularly busy, and the pizza counter was a bit slow. The manager, Jace, kindly offered us some soft drinks while we waited, which was a nice gesture that I appreciated. Overall, it was a good experience despite the minor challenges.
