Great and friendly service by the staff. In the warmer months, consider a table outside in this exquisite Alpine setting. Definitely worth a drive to find this gem.
Visited here on my own on a very wet, very cold night in August and was made to feel incredibly welcome by the staff. The restaurant is set in a beautiful building part of which is used as a tourist information centre. The place itself is a white cavernous room with wooden tables, lit by lanterns and candles. The atmosphere noisy with friendly laughter and more babies than I can ever recall seeing outside of a delivery suite. My waiter was brilliant, very helpful with good English which is more than can be said for my appalling German. Dishes are typical Bavarian and I opted for pork cooked with paprika and Bavarian noodles, sounded like Splaze, but don't quote me on that one. I had a dark beer, something I never drink, but I enjoyed it although my lederhosen felt a bit snug on the way out. I was also given a list of places to visit the next day whilst biding time waiting to pick my son up from summer school. What more could you ask for
This tavern is build in an old monastery. It provides good, bavarian food in a very beatifull "new/old" surroinding. The inner yard is quiet to have a beer or two and to relax in the shadow.
Very nice place inside as well as tables outside. The cuisine is exceptionell good and way above in quality what is generally served in Brauhouses around. At the same time reasonable price and perfect, very friendly service. I'll be back...
We had a group of friends that stopped for lunch after visiting Edelweiss and it was fantastic. We dined in the beer garden and sampled several dishes of which all were excellent. Great stop!!
