Il Pesce Fresco - Firenze

This buzzing food court in the Mercato Centrale stole our hearts. We ate there three times and the best time was when we had the split fresh seafood at Pesce Fresco. It was truly memorable. Simple but quite delicious.

We enjoyed our grilled skewer, which included pieces of swordfish, shrimp, calamari. It was covered in olive oil before grilling and served already salted on a bed of greens. The branzino was prepared the same way and was cooked just right. It made for a nice light meal. The staff was helpful; when I asked if anyone spoke English, they immediately grabbed a young woman who understood enough to make the ordering process easier. I was supposed to pick up the order when my number was called but I must not have heard because of a sudden our plates were brought to our table with a smile. Nice touch. I would go back there again for a nice seafood meal.

The picture is a pulp soup. Nothing special, the taste of the spices was predominant under the taste of the pulp! Maybe I ll back to try other things! Localization is great, inside the Firenze market! Price is good. There is charged parking inside! Service is poor!

Incredibly rude staff. The soup is not soup, had about one tablespoon of sauce, they will offer you bread but charge you for it. The seafood is alright if you love oversalted foods. I would suggest you avoid.

Ordered the seafood soup (clams and mussel) seafood was overcooked. Broth which amounted to about 2 tablespoons was not really soup as expected super salty. 9.50 euros.
