This is my first experience with Afghan cuisine and was pleasantly surprised after trying their Biryani. We were missing the spicy Indian food badly and someone suggested to try the Afghan Biryani...with the right spice and flavour this biryani will certainly strike the right cord of your senses. I am definitely trying the other stuff from their menu as we have more to look forward too.
Hard to find parking. It's on the corner . Expensive food. Microwave is the chef there. Not that clean. Staff I think is the owner very polite and customer oriented. Food is not that good. Can advise or suggest different places. But it's only my taste. Might be different to yours. No salad with biriyani and no papadums.
I'm a local in the area have visited all takeaway outlets nearby, the Afghan Charcoal was the last one I visited for the first time on Friday nite the shop was completely empty besides 5 staff members in the kitchen , there was no warm welcome or a smile not a good start , we placed our order which was only three wraps ... We waited 28 minutes with no communication from any staff of why it was taking so long .. I was forced to stand up in front register to get some acknowledgement.Only then we were noticed and was told it won't be long .. 10 mins later she oppoligies for the wait due to being busy ??? Lol empty shop ?Anyway the food could have saved it but oh we were wrong it tasted like left overs on boxing day that's being nice.I do think writing these reviews but if you run a takeaway outlet please just do your job promptly with a smile ....Go crows
I am not a person who would spend time to write a review but I couldn’t let this one go and I had to take it of my chest. This guys definitely don’t know how to cook proper kebab. I have pruchase for two time from this place and every two time it was uncooked meat. Raw chickens!!! Do yourself a favor ands spend your money and time somewhere els where they would truly care about serving a decent meal to their costumers. This guy surely have got no passion in there business and they’re only doing it for the money, because a true passionate chef would never serve raw chicken kebab to their costumers. Well at least for me it is definitely the last time ever ordering food from the place very unhappy with their service and I’m sure you all know that by now
