I called to make a reservation and was told that there was a table available in 6 or 8, or outside seats were first coming, serving first. When we came to the restaurant, we asked if we could sit outside, but they said that, as we had made a reservation, we could only sit in. while we were disappointed, we agreed to it except I have a odour sensitivity, and the restaurant smells like a cleaning product that influenced my system. I went to the host, told him that I didn't know about the rules and unfortunately I had a reaction on the product and asked if we could sit outside. He pulled us out, but he was clearly very angry, not just upset. he told me that he had to turn the people away since 5:30 a.m. because we had made a reservation for 6. While I realized that it was not ideal that we were sitting outside, I found voga’s - as they make a reservation, they need to sit inside -, not rigid, and I felt that he should have treated his frustration professionally. I was even more surprised when it was obvious that he was still quite angry at our dinner for 30 minutes when he brought out our food. when I used the toilet room just before leaving at 7:30 o'clock, I saw some tables inside and there were some tables outside. of the way the host spoke, we had caused them the loss of business when we asked to eat outside, but this did not seem to be the case, as there was no reason to turn people away when they called. eating was solid, although the rapini in my pasta dish did not taste well. I like rapini, but this one had an unpleasant taste. I ate the half and didn't take the rest home. all in all, voga has to make their policy clearer with regard to reservations / external seats when someone calls so that they know that it is not possible to sit outside when they make a reservation. or even better: change policy. if there is space outside, people should be able to choose whether they want to sit inside or outside. especially if they are annoyed or frustrated, I would recommend being more professional and less blatant when they are angry at their customers, especially if the customer has a valid problem such as chemical sensitivity. we will not return to voga after the experience of the last night. there are many inviting restaurants in the laurentians that we would rather visit. edit: I had hoped that I could answer directly to the very friendly owner who loves his restaurant clearly. I appreciated his thoughtful response and the desire to create a welcoming environment for his customers. my man and I would like to give voga another attempt, and if we do, we write another evaluation. I have a sense that what happened on Saturday was not the norm.

The meal was really excellent but no physical distancing, waitress, waitress wear the mask under the nose, sometimes remove it, customers circulate, enter without a mask, friends enter without a mask, without asking them for their vaccination and kiss the staff. and lighting problem that is low and varies in intensity throughout the evening.
Super good service, delicious food, fan of chicken salad so gigantic that I can't even finish it. Exceptional atmosphere like being home all the time. warm welcome. It's the place to meet with friends.
