Schwanenbrau Bernhausen - Filderstadt

Excellent food, super service. I always try the local delicacies. This time roasted pork with crackling and breads dumplings with very generous helping of gravy. Absolutely delicious. Generous helpings. Wife had steak cooked to perfection.

We were here to a family-proof in a big group. the prices are basically quite high, which would be okay if everything worked. Unfortunately, during our visit, however, in the kitchen "der wurm" seemed to have been in it - false dishes delivered (min 2x), dishes not complete (missing salat) and meat rather shoe sole instead of medium or English ... and still a few small things more.The dame in the service was good and tried to save what was (here also 3 points instead of less) incl. dessert on this

Just go. On the far side of the Stuttgart airport, just past the kirche on a quiet corner sits Schwanenbrau Bernhausen. Friendly staff. Limited English, but everyone helps and makes you feel very welcome. Outside and inside seating. Sit outside when weather permits.The bier is sehr, sehr gut. There is a selection, but the house brewed pils is terrific. Get a liter or half liter and enjoy!The food is great, too! Our group of four sampled a little bit of everything, and the conclusion is you simply can't go wrong. The schnitzel and the roasted potatoes are amazing and, besides the bier, are a fantastic reason to come back. A colleague raved about the Kasespatzle, too.Prices are reasonable. Service is attentive. Atmosphere is casual.Schwanenbrau is nothing fancy and everything you want in a a good, typische German restaurant.

As je in filderstadt bent (of he logeert want dit is vrij den bij outletvillage Metzingen),ga da zeker eens langs bij dit oer-Duitse restaurant waar je gezellig kunt genieten van degelijke duitse kost! indien mogelijk, reserveer vooraf want deze plaats is zeer populair !

Came here with colleagues on a Tuesday evening before 6 and nearly was turned away because all tables were reserved. But they managed ti squeeze us in, which was great. I ordered the roast beef, it came with fried potatoes and caramelizedonions and it was really good, very satisfying. Of course we had their beers too. Great experience!
