Abrigo Da Montanha - Figueira da Foz

We visited for New Years lunch with a varied set of food requirements. The staff were friendly, patient and polite and the food was very good. Nothing spectacular but well prepared and presented. Deserts are limited but also hit the spot. Prices are surprisingly reasonable, and the views over the Atlantic are spectacular and make for a very pleasant afternoon.

This restaurant has a good menu with a great wine list, and a commendable service. Price quality ratio is high, and the view over Figueira da Foz and the Atlantic is just breathtaking. I suggest it for a romantc dinner or for groups, weddings and or other celebrations. Staff is helpful and very friendly.

Small room with breathtaking views. We had açorda and fish fillets. Both dishes were excellent. Prices per main course averaged 15 Euros. Very nice staff. You will need a car to get to this place, but there is a lot to see on the way. Reservation advised.

Very often I go to Portugal (home country Germany), of course fish normally is the dish of choice. I visited many restaurants and very seldom I was disappointed. The Abrigo da Montanha however sticks out of all the restaurants. Entering the restaurant you will be met by the very friendly staff. I recommend a table towards the south overlooking Figueira and another 20 miles of the beach. The atmosphere is very friendly and is only topped by the great food.. The fish is fresh from the market, and you taste it. Produce is from nearby and very tasty as well. The wine recommendation was perfect. And additionally the prices for this perfect outing were very reasonable. I will come again.
