The Lobster Hut - Fife

First, Crail is a quaint town with great views. Lots to offer here but Reilly Shell Shack was a must on our list. My grandson had not had crab or lobster before. So he and I had one of each to try and compare. For me a seafood lover, it was the BEST. My favorite in the UK. For my grandson, nothing will compare to this, the taste, the experience, and the town.

It's definitely worth a visit! Having been recommended this little seafood shack prior to our visit to Fife from Wales, we made contact with the owners, and were then subsequently advised to pre order to avoid disappointment. We did just that and even though our journey took longer than originally anticipated (due to the bank holiday traffic), the wonderful people at Reilly's advised us that they were more than happy to wait for us to arrive! We were greeted with a smile and the choice of 2 recently caught lobsters. Of course, we chose the larger one of the two! It was then cooked and prepared for us perfectly I might add! Thank you so much for acocmodating. My husband truly enjoyed having a freshly caught lobster for his birthday dinner overlooking the harbour it was a fabulous experience!

We'd read on TripAdvisor about this little shack down at the harbourside in Crail and it didn't disappoint. Bought two rolls one lobster and one crab and they were delicious. You could also order lobsters to take away but staying in a hotel meant that was a non starter! Also very friendly service and lovely to eat outside.

On holiday, getting Lobster Crab from Reilly's. Mail Order from this summer (20% off 1st order), that's what we will use frequently. Pre-Ordered 6 king size Male Lobsters, 1kg crab claws, couple of dressed crabs on impulse. Fiona (Richards wife) was lovely. Lobsters cooked an hour before collection. Magnificient, enjoying with salad, Presecco later, freezing what we don't eat. £30kg fresh out of the sea, as good as money can buy.

Been going once or twice a year and sometimes been caught out with usually the crab being sold out before I arrive (so lobster plugs the gap very nicely): this time, as I was travelling around Fife by bus, I contacted them first before they opened and they very kindly agreed to put some back for me as I knew with timings I’d be there around 14:00. You can imagine my delight as when I arrived, I noted the ‘crab rolls sold out’ sign, but a quick check revealed my order all bagged up and waiting for me! Oh happy, happy day! I enjoyed eating them overlooking the sea harbour from a bench on the terrace thank you!
