Shimla Palace Indian - Fife

We had a great time at the buffet dinner at Shimla Palace for a late Father's Day celebration. The food was excellent and the staff were polite, friendly, and helpful without being intrusive. Two members of our party had dietary restrictions and allergies, but the staff went out of their way to accommodate them by cooking special curry dishes. We were impressed by the value and will definitely be returning to dine there again.

Ordered a delivery from this restaurant tonight and my garlic naan was forgotten, not a big deal I just phoned up and asked them to send it out. I spoke to a lady on the phone who was very nice and said she would send one as soon as possible. Then I received a phone call from a man’s mobile saying he was phoning from shimla because I did receive a naan as he packed it himself. I informed him that I definitely did not receive anything and he continued to be rude and argue with me. He insinuated that I was a liar and had it there, as if I would go to all this trouble for a £3.50 naan bread?Eventually he said he would send one out but by this point I told them not to bother and to pick up untouched delivery as I wanted my money back. I am just honestly baffled. I have ordered numerous deliveries from Shimla for years with no issues but I won’t be ordering ever again after this experience.

Not been here for a few years , food and service has always been great . Booked for the all you can eat buffet last night , very disappointed, food quality really poor nothing like it used to be , service also was poor , one particular waiter very rude abrupt . Shame as it’s always been great value .

I ordered takeout online for pickup, but when I got home, I found that my order was incorrect and one meal was missing. After multiple failed attempts to reach them by phone, I finally spoke to a young lady who said she would send out the missing meal. After waiting over an hour and calling back, I was told the meal would be delivered, but it never arrived. It was clear they were not interested once they had my money. I am very disappointed and have given up on this restaurant. My child ended up having poppadoms and naan bread for dinner, which was a complete waste of money. The atmosphere was horrible, and I will definitely think twice before considering ordering takeout or dining in at this restaurant again.

We have been dining at this restaurant for the past 12 years. The food and service are excellent. The staff is friendly and always willing to assist. I highly recommend trying their Indian buffet dinner.
