While traveling, we stopped at Greggs Bakery and tried their delicious sausage roll. We also sampled jam-filled rolls, though we are unsure of their exact name. We enjoyed our experience so much that we make a point to visit Greggs every time we are in the area.
It is common to see a shop or cafe with a sign requiring masks to be worn. However, these signs are not in line with anti-COVID laws and anti-discrimination laws against disabilities, making them illegal and unwelcoming. A more polite approach could be to say, "Please wear a face covering if you are not exempt." Despite this, the staff is lovely, friendly, welcoming, and helpful, but unfortunately, they are let down by the management. The food is great and reasonably priced.
It's easy to understand why Greggs is so popular. They offer delicious food at affordable prices, with seating available and helpful staff. The only downside is the unwelcoming face mask signs.
We visited St Andrews and had a wonderful day. We were in the mood for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, so we headed to Greggs for good value. The staff was pleasant and the menu offered a variety of food options.
