Coffee was great. I was pleased that they could stay around 730a; most not. Children had a single, plate-sized chocolate chip pancake (hey, it's vacation), hubby ordered breakfast Burrito, and I ordered the hash. Burrito was good, but not great. would have preferred it during the prep instead of doing it yourself. Pancakes were delicious, obviously from scratch. Hash was great. With only 5 minutes to rent from our house on the beach, this place becomes a holiday tradition.
Here is breakfast when you are in Amelia or Fernindina. I had eggs, fabulous. Perfect Hollandaise sauce. I'm so glad my arm was turned on one side of her cheeses. My family also loved their food, ham and cheese omelet, too big to finish, all right. We'll be back next time.
Great breakfast and lunch. Based on his one review, the previous review on 7/19/14 sounded like an idiot. He asked to have his "crispy potatoes." I also like crispy ash-browns. However, their 'potatoes' are the cube 'home-fry' style potatoes. To cook them 'crispy ' turns them into small rocks/kissles, which can crack teeth, making too bad quality food and complaints. According to him, his immediate answer was there something else not on the menu? Just... Wow. This place is now a combination of two of the most popular local food in Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island. Earlier there was a long-term local favorite restaurant next to this current location called KP 'S, which served ingenious lunch and dinner. The owner tried to move his restaurant into a better location, the more 'up-scale' and offered more total space. He also tried to change his menu. The move and the change of the menu did not work, he went out of business and many locals missed the KP 's of old love. In the meantime, Carolyn, the deserts made for KP 's and offered cakes and cakes on show and also tried cooking breakfast in KP 's for a while, opened her own place on S. 14th street called Ms. Carolyn 's breakfast and desserts. It was an immediate hit. After several years she moved to her present place. There she was back with KP. She still offered her breakfast menu, which worked so well and kept her former furnishings packed every morning. She also offered KP 's (cooked by KP to order) classic local favorite end menu for lunch. I've never been an employee. Neither KP nor Mrs Carolyn would know me when they saw me. But I enjoyed both original facilities, like my whole extended family. I also enjoy their newer place for breakfast and lunch. We often eat here and will continue to do this whether they offer crispy Taters or not.
Decent Breakfast. Been here for breakfast a number of times. It's making breakfast... not brain surgery. They do a decent job. I'd go there more often but seems to always be a line waiting so I drive by. They must be doing something right. My Grade B for breakfast
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I come here every time I'm in town. The omelette is amazing.
