Malt Shop - Fenton

My husband and I were in St. Louis in the '40s, and one of the places we visited was The Malt Shop. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the ice cream was absolutely delightful. We ordered the turtle sundae, and it was really good!

Order 2 concretes home. The second one I had to wait in 93 degrees heat for 10 minutes while the other was melted. I told them about the melted, but they did not seem to care and closed the window on me. I tortured it and ran away. $15 for nothing. This place is not worth it. Will not protect this place anymore. Will go back to Ted Drew, make the best concrete.

Just as delicious as I remembered it from 25 years ago! The ice cream is a delightful, creamy treat that's enjoyable on its own. They were kind enough to whip up a brownie supreme sundae for me, even though it’s not on the menu. It was absolutely perfect! Thank you, Malt Shop, for still being around after all these years!

The Malt Shop is my favorite spot for a sweet treat. The only negative thing I have to say is that I?m mad it took me so long to find it! I?ve lived in St. Louis for 17 years, and it wasn?t until about a year ago that I finally heard about it. Now, trust me when I say that it?s not because no one else knows about it because that is absolutely not the case, tons of people LOVE it! There?s a little too much hype around a certain St. Louis spot for ice cream. Don?t get me wrong, that place is good, but I can?t tell you how many times I?ve had to pass that place by or exit the parking lot without a treat due to crowds, and I didn?t know where else to go because no one seemed to know. Well, I can tell you that The Malt Shop is the place to go, and I do NOT mean as a backup or last resort. They?re my favorite because they sell better-tasting stuff (seriously, the best chocolate malt I?ve ever had), AND they have some absolutely delicious burgers and fries, so you can actually have a meal here! Everyone is friendly, they?re efficient when they get busy, and it?s a cute spot away from 141 or any other busy road, so you can feel safe there with your kids. My family and I are big fans!

I believe the restaurant could use some brighter decorations, as it currently feels quite plain and resembles a hole-in-the-wall establishment. However, the service was excellent, and the malt I ordered was delicious!
