Friederick's Family - Fennimore

Nice casual place to grab a bite. Fairly empty when we went in but filling up as we left. Decent selection on the menu and friendly service from the staff. Would be a nice place for a family meal. Note that the place didn't look open when we arrived. I looked around the back and saw an OPEN sign lit up, but it could have been clearer. Still, nice diner.Dietary restrictions: As someone with celiac disease I was a bit nervous. I wasn't sure the waitress understood what I was asking or perhaps knew the ingredients enough.Parking: There's off-street parking available right on the property. Plenty of spots.Kid-friendliness: I don't know if they had crayons, coloring books, or similar, but they had a high chair for a baby while we were there and the place seems very laid back.

Have gotten take out food several times. Burgers are always good and so are the fries. They have a drive up window in back so it's convenient to call your order in and use the drive-thru.

My toast was served cold with a glob of butter in the middle of each peace not spread out. I requested new toast it was served the same not warm enough to spread the

Surprisingly good food for a family restaurant. Not over priced, and service was pretty good too. I had the pot roast with potatoes. The only thing I would change is better variety for the sides. I'm not a fan of cole slaw. The other dish was fried catfish, which was also good.
