Rose Crown - Fenland

This pub is truly wonderful. The landlady and staff are lovely, and the customers are friendly. They showed extraordinary kindness when our previous booking fell through at another venue. The real ale and lamb shank dinner were delicious. We can't wait to come back and enjoy the open fire and Old Peculiar. Thank you to everyone for a fantastic time.

The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The outdoor beer garden was beautiful and the food was delicious. I would definitely return to this place.

I stayed nearby and visited the town of March, needing to find a restaurant that offered gluten-free and dairy-free options. I came across this pub which had a gluten-free menu, but only offered a roast on Sundays. I inquired if they could accommodate my dietary restrictions (being a coeliac and allergic to cow's milk), and to my surprise they said they could. The chef, who was also gluten intolerant, understood my needs and prepared gluten-free Yorkshire puddings and stuffing for me. However, realizing these were not dairy-free, the chef offered me more roast potatoes instead. When I mentioned my love for roast parsnips, I was given extra to make up for the other items I couldn't have. The chef came out to discuss everything with us, which reassured me that they were knowledgeable about my dietary requirements. Despite missing out on stuffing and Yorkshire puddings, I really enjoyed the roast and felt it was good value for money. The food tasted great and the staff were friendly, making me feel welcome and not inconvenienced at all. Their ability to cater to a gluten-free diet for coeliacs was impressive and I left satisfied with my dining experience.

Lovely traditional pub with great range of real ales. Good food at good prices. The only (minor) downside was that the mashed potato was a bit 'firm '. Very friendly.

We had dinner here whilst staying around the corner. Lovely meal, nice choice for veggies. The service was delightful and so friendly. A great pub indeed!
