Japan Express - Fayetteville

After reading reviews, I confirmed that my suspicion about the food was correct. The orange chicken I ordered looked suspiciously similar to sesame chicken. It was clearly not what I asked for. I will not be returning to this restaurant as I feel they were trying to deceive me. I could elaborate further, but it would be pointless.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki without onions or vegetables. Unfortunately, the vegetables were missing, but the tray was filled with more than half onions instead. After I removed the onions, I was left with only a small portion of chicken, which tasted more like onions than teriyaki.

I don't like writing bad reviews, but if you run a restaurant, the least you could do is make sure your food is fresh. I ordered some beef dumplings which were fantastic, good job there. I also ordered teriyaki salmon. It smelled good, but thats about asfar as it goes. The sides, rice, veggies, were fine. The fish itself was bad. It tasted like soap which is a clear indicationthat it was expired or close to it. I can't remember the last time I spit out food from a restaurant. I can't speak for theother dishes, but stay away from the fish. There wasn't even any teriyaki sauce on the fish, not that it would help. Reallydisappointed.

This teriyaki chicken was the worst I've ever had. It had no flavor, was not tender, and lacked seasoning. The white rice tasted like it had butter on it, and the carrots tasted like sweet potatoes. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
