O Cantinho Do Ruah - Faro

A fiend of us recommend us to try Cantinho do Ruah. We went there with 5 family member, the food was one of a kind. Delicious fresh fish and fresh gourmet mixt salad. Oldy restaurant about 90 year old.

Not knowing the area, we got here following the recommendation of a local man. At first, we were shocked by both the reception of the (sergeantesque) woman in charge and the (clandestine) atmosphere. But food is really good, tasty, rich, authentic, delicious. No glam, no frills: just pure simple food, BBQ meat or fish (or salad). Sundays closed.

There are fewer and fewer restaurants that serve fresh fish: not frozen, not fileted, just cleaned and on the grill! So we were pleased to go back after several years and find the restaurant still as it should be. It's not cheap any more in Portugal, but this is reasonable and still available as we like it.

Melhor peixe assado de Faro. Excelente ambiente, sem stresses. Salada montanheira é indespensavel. Assim como um medronho no fim da refeição. Obrigatório para quem vier a Faro.
