Moe's Southwest Grill - Farmville

This place is an excellent choice if you're looking for something quick and filling. I had a salad bowl with tofu, mushrooms, diced rice, salsa, guacamole, beans, and a ton of other toppings, all for a great price! It came with tortilla chips, which complemented the meal perfectly. I actually had enough for two meals, as it was quite a generous portion. While it’s definitely not a spot for a romantic date night, it’s a solid option if you want something affordable and easy to take away. You really can't go wrong with tasty beans and fresh ingredients!

I had heard from some people that this restaurant doesn’t offer takeout. While that might be true sometimes, when I visited, I asked about the tofu, and they told me, "Give us 10 minutes," and they prepared some for me. I just feel like they might not sell enough to keep it readily available. That’s likely part of the issue. It’s a bit frustrating, but I think a lot of it has to do with the area being somewhat behind the times. This is an updated version of my earlier review from September 5, 2021.

This restaurant was one of only two recommended options in Farmville, which is surprising given that Longwood University is nearby! We arrived around 6 PM on a Saturday night, only to find they had run out of tofu and informed us they weren't cooking any more dishes for the night. We left feeling frustrated. Although this place isn't listed on Happy Cow, we found a nearby Chinese restaurant called Golden Palace that offers vegan options and has very friendly staff. I recommend going there instead.

They are cheap and great for students. they must be for vegans or vegetarians. I don't know if they have vegan cheese options, but they have black beans and beans. the first vegan then I made from there is a burrito bowl with tofu.

I haven't been to Moe for two years. I don't know why. Wife has 2 meals from her bowl and I have 3 of my Burrito! Fantastic food... The service was better than the food. So personable, professional and made all of us smile in the line (which moves quickly!
