I'm English, love this place only been here a few times , lovely staff very friendly! ! Highly recommend a visit !!!
My wife and I rode our bikes to the Grand Tavern for lunch. Had a very pleasant lunch with an attentive waitress. Very good meal.
My St. Patrick's Day corned beef, cabbage and potatoes was to die for. I also love the Saturday night prime rib!
I had the first-class rib sandwich and it was excellent! Nicely presented on a Hoagie ball with cheese, grilled onions and boom sauce (like a mild spice 1000 island dressing) instead of the horseradish sauce. Very delicious sandwich. I made the chips instead of the house chip. Friends are great! My wife had the turkey ruben that was also excellent. Nice roasted bread and hot turkey with fresh Koleslaw. Perfectly done. Our whole food was served hot cakes that made the meal a great start. For drinks it was $3,50 for Craft Beer Pints and $2.00 for local craft beers. I had the Farmington Brewery Blood Orange, which was excellent. A beautiful light brown wheat beer that was super smooth with orange undertones. My wife had the info that a wheat pilsner was with the aroma of fresh cut hay and the tasty taste of grass wheat. A bit of sweetness, with some tarty and a slightly bitter, but not unpleasant finish. Overall, this is a beautiful casual restaurant that offers a wide selection of sandwiches and some decent participants. A good selection of beers along with a full bar offering several specialties Martinis and dessert drinks. They also offer a variety of freshly made desserts. The service was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. I recommend this restaurant if you want a complete dinner or just a sandwich and a beer at reasonable prices!
