Alibi Speakeasy Lounge - Farmingdale

The photos that were attached to this one speakeasy no longer apply as the interior is currently under complete reconstruction. While the drinks were good, the cool ambiance of the old-style speakeasy is no longer present.

The Alibi Lounge has a vibe that combines a local youth pastor with a cocktail lounge. The decor gives off a feeling of someone quickly putting together pieces from IKEA, thinking it would look trendy. The drinks are tasty but not very imaginative. We tried the strawberry gin smash (although it was missing a garnish) and the skid row. These cocktails are perfect for a hot summer night, although they seem like they could easily be found at a chain restaurant. It's hard to give a rating, as two stars seems too low but three stars feels too high. On the positive side, the band playing that night was really good!

Went in tonight after not being there for a few years. There was no longer a speak easy entrance, you walk right into the main room. All the furniture was off to each side and the decor was no longer there. Also, there were no customers. What happened to this place?

Had a great time. Rum punch was perfect for our group of 4. Rainbow cake was disappointing.

The staff was friendly and the food was surprisingly good, but the atmosphere was dingy and the seats were very uncomfortable. We had to eat our food from a small, low coffee table instead of a regular dining table. The bathroom was also dirty.
