The Wheatsheaf - Fareham

Pleasant ambience with a warm welcome. The small plates starters were mixed. 4 small prawns with garlic were hugely overpriced. Amazingly they had run out of mushrooms. My hake was lovely but was served in a very bland watery sauce containing undercooked potatoes. The main course mussels looked rather good and apparently tasted so. Not cheap so no tip left.

Fabulous meal bringing our extended family together. The choice on menu was extensive, the food was so delicious the service was 5plus. The waitresses were efficient, informative, helpful so friendly. We will definitely be back strongly recommend a visit. Thank you all involved in our perfect visit

Disappointed by the ‘menu sold outs’ on a quiet night plus, in my view, really overpriced food …. won’t hurry back

A lovely village pub with a great atmosphere. Absolutely delicious food which was freshly cooked, hot and perfectly presented. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have removed one star as the pub had so many dogs and not all on leads… I am not a dog fan .. well at least not in a place where you are eating. But, there is a restaurant where I presume dogs are not allowed.

Brilliant food excellent staff nice surroundings would highly recommend : They do a really good deal two course Sunday roast with desert plus some breads and dips to start. Great beer :
