Nothing special but is always nice and clean and the service is good when ever we have been there, though have never been there at lunch time or when really busy.
Sat for an hour waiting for food. Was cold and you could tell it had been sat under a warm lamp for a while. My fish was hot but the rest had gone soggy whilst waiting for the fish to cook I guess. Cutlery was dirty and tables were gross! Lots of staff stood around doing nothing they could have been wiping tables down at least. Very unimpressed will NOT be going again and 100% wouldn't recommend.
This restaurant does not meet the typical standard of most Sainsbury cafes. The portion of fish was small, the peas tasted like they were not fresh, and the chips were overcooked on the outside and undercooked in the middle. Sainsbury, you can do better than this!
We decided to order the halloumi breakfast at this restaurant because we had enjoyed it there in the past. However, when we entered, we were disappointed to see dirty tables with stacked dishes on them. The food we received was cold and did not come with the hash browns that were advertised. Surprisingly, two managers were seated at a table right behind us, seemingly ignoring the state of the restaurant. We will not be returning, as it felt like a total rip off.
Having stopped off at this store as we were staying in this area for some shopping decided to try their cafe, ordered Sausages and Mash and Hunters Chicken. When it came out to our table on initial looked good but when we started to eat it the meals were lukewarm the mash in my dinner was tastless and my husband's hunters chicken was all dried up even the chips were cold. Best thing was the hot tea. If you are going to serve hot meals then you should make sure they are hot and not dried out by reheating in a microwave. Afraid it is something across the board with most of Sainsburys restaurants we and others have found.SO COME ON SAINSBURYS GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER
