Best idea of the day.<br/ <br/ The cherry kijafa crêpes were huge, filled with cherries and covered in a delicious cherry sauce. The real whipped cream really made the dish.<br/ <br/ I didn't feel like pancakes, and instead ordered the works (2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon and hash brown) but substituted toast for the 3 buttermilk pancakes that normally come with the order. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, the hash browns crispy. Their thick cut bacon was a nice change from the normal greasy, thin strips in most restaurants. But the bread that was used for the toast thick, white bread that tasted freshly baked was really a surprise.<br/ <br/ This is now a solid option for weekend breakfasts for us.
Good omelette, bad buckwheats. I had my first meal at OPH yesterday while visiting family in Centreville. They raved about the number of pancake and crepe choices at OPH. I was in the mood for a western omelette, so that's what I ordered. I also wanted to try the buckwheat pancakes. Our server gladly substituted buckwheat pancakes for the buttermilk pancakes that usually come with an omelette. I enjoyed the western omelette. It had the right amount of onions, bell peppers, and ham, and it came to my table piping hot. The buckwheats were edible, but I could barely taste the buckwheat flavor. I am not sure why, but it was not there. I am willing to give OPH another try, but I won't get their buckwheat pancakes again.
Lovely for breakfast!. I had the spinach crepes which came with a hollandaise sauce and 5 potato pancakes, served with apple sauce and sour cream. The spinach crepe, stuffed with mushrooms and cheese was excellent. I love the thick texture of the crepe as well, which held well against the vegetables. The potato pancakes were great as well. For a little under $10 this was a wonderful breakfast. If I'm ever in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to go back here.
A little pricey, busy on weekends which leads to not super attentive service but great food.
The food and coffee were superb but the service was sketchy.
