The newly renovated, new concept Dominic Santos is 'the talk of the town '! Easily the best west side Italian restaurant now (reservations only? , run by a local family, where the husband (Dominic? is the master chef! The dining area is casual, yet intimate and cozy, and there is a cooking island at the front end, where you can watch the chef perform his magic (don 't worry, it 's very well ventilated ! Pasta is fresh and home made too. We loved that everyone got an antipasto salad with their entrees, and the table got a loaf of bread butter too (great, old school touch . This is a great place to bring a date, or to celebrate a special occasion. Kevin, our server, was a pleasure as well. Lastly, what a joy it was to watch the chef prepare and cook my delectable bananas foster crepe dessert. Everything about this place exudes personal touch and culinary pleasure, and dining here is a celebration of Italian food and the whole spirit of it! We will return for sure!

This Santo's Fairview was closed for a couple of years because of covid. My friend and I went there last night and were shocked. We never had to make a reservation before, but I had to this time. Probably because they took a few tables out to make room for the on-site chef. The menu was limited and new but you can get the old menu items for carry out ? , the prices were way higher, and we always got bread and salad with our entree. Not anymore. If you want a salad, it's $4 more. If you want bread, the menu says to ask for it we didn't . I ordered a glass of wine $8-I have attached a picture . I know they wanted to do something new, but there were only two other tables with people eating. We won't be back, unless they bring back the old menu and provide bread and salad with the entrees like they used to. Our date of visit: October 6, 2022
