We came here for breakfasts on a Saturday morning. We ordered the West Coast Benny. We both asked for soft egg and they came back hard. We told the waiter and she asked if we wanted it redone and we said yes. Instead of redoing the benny they just brought out the new eggs which was quite odd. Definitely not up to proper restaurant standards. The halloandise sauce was white/transparent and wasn't very good. Overall disappointing experience. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is the waitress was nice and the kids pancakes and French toast were really good. The potatoes were really good too.
Sadly, what was advertised as Wine Wednesday 50% OFF BOTTLED WINE was not what was offered. We went to enjoy the special on a wine we had ordered the week before, Lakeside Cellars Cab Sauvignon, as shown on their wine menu. Instead, we were told the special wasn 't on any wine other than Yellow Tail, a low quality wine which wasn 't even on the menu and was supposed to be priced at $20. Well, after we ordered it, we found out $20 was the 1/2 price, so a wine that retails in the $10 range was supposedly being sold for $40 regularly. False advertising and bad management, plus miscommunication from staff resulted in a very disappointing experience. We are trying to support local in these times, but when our patronage isn 't valued, it 's time to go elsewhere.
We recently tried Dapper 's Landing for the first time. We ordered the Monday night special which is tacos for two for $20. Generous number of tacos and meat, but all the toppings were in very small quantities. The salsa was particularly disappointing as it was a thin spicy tomato liquid with no actual chunks of ingredients in it. It is what is leftover in the bottom of a jar of cheap salsa when the salsa is all gone! We asked for salsa and were told that what we got is all they had. You can 't pour a liquid into a taco! Even if they are using a cheap salsa from a jar it wouldn 't take much to have somebody chop up a few tomatoes, onions, cilantro etc. to make it acceptable. I 'm not anxious to try Dapper 's again if this is representative of their usual quality of ingredients.
Steak Aioli Sandwich is incredible. Other food is only ok. Our family ate tapas style and found everything to be a little bland except for the steak sandwich special which blew us all away. The waitstaff was friendly although not quick to recognize potential customer needs. Pretty standard fare.
