Ohana Hawaiian Bbq - Fairfield

I had been looking forward to this meal for 2 days. I ordered a combination plate with extra macaroni salad for about $15 without a drink. The service was fast and friendly, they helped me decide what to order and how to customize it. The portion size was generous, enough for both my lunch and dinner. The only downside was that the piece of beef was quite tough and chewy. However, the chicken was juicy and tasty. Despite the tough beef, I would definitely return to this restaurant.

My husband and I are both from Hawaii and we make sure to visit Ohana's at least once a week. The owner and staff are always very friendly. If you're in a hurry, you can easily order by phone. Our favorite dishes are the fried saimin with beef or chicken - both are delicious, even better than the traditional Hawaiian style! We also love the Mochiko chicken special on Thursdays, chicken katsu, and their hamburger steak plate. Be prepared, the portions are very generous. A helpful tip is to add ketchup to the katsu sauce and ask for an extra cup to mix it in - it pairs perfectly with fries too. The photo shown is of the Mochiko chicken plate special, which was so good that we couldn't even wait to get home to dig in!

This restaurant has exceptional menu items! You can't go wrong with any choice. The value for the price is hard to find these days. The owner is friendly and cheerful. I will definitely be returning whenever I go shopping at Trader Joe's.

Consistent, delicious Hawaiian style BBQ! We take all our friends and visiting family here and even treated our movers to lunch with Ohana BBQ. The Volcano Chicken Katsu is delicious the BBQ mix plate is great too! Incredible price for the amount of food you get! So ono!!

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there was no Hawaiian music playing.
