Liana's Trattoria - Fairfield

One of the best Italian restaurants in Fairfield County! The hostess is wonderful, the service is excellent, and the food is incredibly delicious! The authentic cuisine is truly among the finest you'll find outside of Italy. You can clearly taste the quality of the fresh ingredients used in the dishes.

They made a great effort to keep customers spaced out, and all the staff were wearing masks. The food was delicious, just like always.

I had the homemade gnocchi, and it was simply perfection! In addition to the fantastic food, the service was incredibly welcoming and friendly. It was our first visit, and our friends had recommended it, saying we would love it—and they were right! The food was outstanding, but what really stood out for me was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. Overall, it was a delicious and accommodating experience!

My wife ordered the gnocchi with sage and butter sauce. Gnocchi can be quite filling, so it’s difficult to know how much is the right amount. I found myself wishing there had been a bit more, but perhaps that was just our appetites talking since we were quite hungry. Regardless, both dishes were wonderful! For appetizers, we had stuffed peppers and burrata with crispy prosciutto. The stuffed pepper was tasty, but the burrata was absolutely incredible—I could have kept ordering it! I usually take photos of my meals, but I was so hungry that I completely forgot. This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in Fairfield, and I will 100% be coming back!

I have to say that Chef James is incredible. I can't remember the last time I had veal, but this dish was absolutely phenomenal. The waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the extensive wine list, which was six pages long! If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. I highly recommend making reservations. This upscale Italian restaurant is perfect for any special occasion, so don’t forget to book in advance and be sure to mention that James sent you!
