The lighting was perfect and I loved the way the place looked. Our meal started off with a bowl of seasoned pickle chips which were delicious. For our lunch I ordered the double burger topped with brisket an onion ring and barbecue sauce. My girlfriend had the shepherds pie and my son had the buffalo boneless chicken tenders with fries. Simply said we enjoyed our meals. The double burger was very tasty as well as the shepherds pie which was an enormous portion. My son enjoyed the chicken tenders. Overall we really liked the place and the service, we will definitely be back. Compared to some of the local premium burger joints I would choose this place over them any day.
I absolutely love this Plan B location and have always been pleased with the service and great food (except the corn ma choux side avoid that mess at all costs) My friends and I frequently go here for the extended happy hour on Thursday's and trivia night on Wednesday's. Food and drink specials are a great deal half off apps and $3 dollar drafts. Favorite burger: the Blue cheese burger is amazing. The barbecue sauce and the caramelized onions are delicious. Get it with the truffle fries.
Burgers are ok...really...they're ok The service? Tremendously bad...I mean they must train their staff to be this inattentive? This might be a typical comfort food spot but you can't experience that tradition if your waiter is a no show or forgets your order over and over again. One cannot ignore tables or forget orders this poorly without it being an overt plan to be famous for bad service. Is that a thing? If so, the staff at Plan B deserve an award. Our group has decades of F&B experience and were amazed at the lack of attention. Even the bartender was no where to be found. If you exhaust every other possible restaurant in Fairfield County then go to Plan B their name is rather appropriate.
Locals absolutely love Plan B, so we knew we had to try it out when we were in the area. There's a great bar that I would have loved to saddle up to ... but I was with the kids. So no bar lounging for mama. I'm a burger lover, so when I saw that they had a pretzel burger, I knew I just had to try it. This place could have been a 5 star but the disappointing pretzel bun killed a star for me. The burger was perfectly done. The fries were tasty (but I was digging the tater tots my friend had gotten and I should have ordered crispy and a taste of my childhood). But that darn pretzel bun... it fell flat. It didn't have the expected punch of a pretzel roll, it was just too boring. Made me wish I had tried something a bit different on the menu. I would definitely go back to Plan B Burger again... but skip that darn pretzel roll.
So, Plan B saw my review. They reached out. And they have been AWESOME. First off, they comped our food and wine I think the next 3 times we went. I also received an in person and online apology--above and beyond customer service. And, Fairfield's fryer has gone completely gluten free! I've sampled dishes outside the burger and everything is good, solid bar food. Thanks, Plan B : You know how to make things right for your customers.
