Sweetgreen - Fairfax

I’m writing this review after being a regular customer for over six years, primarily because it’s one of the few healthy dining options in the area. Unfortunately, I've noticed a lack of consistency. Some days the salads are delicious, while other days they fall short. For instance, today I ordered a salad and found the arugula was yellow, and to top it off, the lid was open when I came to pick it up. When I brought it back, they were quick to make me a new one, which I appreciated. However, once I returned to the office, I realized they had forgotten some ingredients. That’s frustrating, especially considering the salad costs nearly $15. Additionally, my husband witnessed a cockroach in someone’s salad during a pickup a couple of months ago. Given these experiences, I’m reconsidering my future visits to Sweetgreen at the Mosaic location.

The food here is only average and the portions are small for the price, especially compared to other places. The real issue, though, is the rude staff. Don’t take it out on me just because you can’t pronounce my name. I recommend going to CAVA next door instead.

The buffalo chicken salad was delicious, but unfortunately, it resulted in severe food poisoning that lasted for two days. My symptoms were quite intense, and I ended up with a fever of 100 degrees.

Staff was extremely helpful in helping me what to order. The store is soooo clean! The location is also very busy; tons of foot traffic ordering food and tons of people coming in to pick up their (what I assume) online orders. Love this place!Dietary restrictions: Great for those who suffer from diabetes.
