Kona Grill - Fairfax

My first visit to Kona Grill was disappointing as I went there to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately had a terrible server who struggled to take our orders and repeatedly kept coming back.

I'm not sure why there are so many low reviews; I really enjoyed this place! I went with a few colleagues for lunch and we really enjoyed ourselves.

I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their defense, we went there right after the holiday weekend and maybe it was a little different. It won't stop us from coming back in the hope that it was an anomaly rather than the norm.

I love the fresh and clean atmosphere! Lots of wood and white! Greeted by the owner on every visit! The food is delicious. I had the pleasure of having 730 seats by 10am!
