Salty's On 2nd - Fairbanks

Excellent service in an entertaining environment. the philly steak wrap was amazing! like the Alaskan mule! my friend reported that the garnel and grits were good, but too fat waaay. the piña colada mimosa was a bit strange.

While vacationing in Fairbanks we searched for some local restaurants and Saltys came highly recommended not only by Google but also on Diners, Drive ins and Dives. I cant say we had the best waitress, she seemed annoyed to be waiting on a group our size (8). But the food was still excellent. Triple D was correct mamas meatball sub was excellent and the sandwiches and selection of beers on tap were superb as well. We sat in the bar instead of the restaurant side and enjoyed the ambiance. If you're in Fairbanks and hungry Saltys has an excellent offerings. Literally looking at the menu and the plethora of mimosa options made us start salivating. The California dreamer sandwich with its marinated tomatoes was insanely tasty. They are closed on monday or we would have dined again.

I really enjoyed my time here. The place was really clean and you could tell that they took a lot of pride in how their building looked. Bright colors and spacious area. They have a good sized menu and their food was pretty good. They have a beer menu, but should just not give it to anyone as they are locally sourced so it’s whatever the breweries give them, which is completely off from their menu. Kind of made me laugh. I will probably go back again.

Nice local restaurant/bar. Service was fast and friendly. Good drink selection, lots of local brews on tap! The cheese curds where delicious, but the meatball sub left a little to be desired. A good choice for a good brew, snack and friendly service!
