Feira Velha - Fafe

I've been here this week with my wife and it was a very plaisant surprise. This restaurant is in my opinion one of the best of the region. No Michelin star here and no exagerated bill. The owner (chef) is really know what is doing in the kitchen, he is a really great cooker and can impress you with is food but always keeping the tradition of the region. Definitely a place I recommend where you can enjoy a really nice meal and a good wine in a quiet place in the center of the city.

We visited off season on a tuesday; it was very quiet. Staf was very friendly but hardly spoke any english. So we tried our best Portuguese. We shared a nice starter of cured meats with fresh melon and fish cakes. Very tasty! After that we had the local speciality of roasted veal with potatoes and also Some porc ribs with fries. Both were large portions and tasted good. The prices were friendly. And the home made desserts were also good. No complaints. Typical food and friendly service.

In the middle of Fafe , good place to put the car Lot of space inside , but the food for is average For tripas it shall have less beans and more meat and better enchidos The house wine is nice wc nice and clean.

Absolutely delicious food. And the most incredible and nice service. In Fafe, ir you want veal or lamb, this is the best place to go. The all the experience is fantastic for a traditional Portuguese food.
