They noticed that the restaurant was empty and it seemed to cater mostly to tourists rather than locals from Öland. They do not plan on returning for another visit.

While in Ohio, USA, I had the pleasure of trying some incredible authentic baklava from the Detroit area. After moving to Sweden, I struggled to find something similar until I discovered Cafe Skogsby. I ordered a variety of pastries and each one was delicious and freshly made. The owner was extremely friendly and offered a wide selection of baked goods, sandwiches, and custom cakes, all homemade. I also purchased a delightful heart-shaped cake made by his wife. This hidden gem in Öland is definitely worth a visit - highly recommended!
