Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant! We stayed at the Bastide aux Camelias, a local B&B, and our hosts recommended this place, as it is nearby. It was one of our favorite places to eat, on our 2 week trip to France. Highly recommend the lamb shoulder. The restaurant is so beautiful! You can wander through the open doors and sit outside on a beautiful terrace, with a variety of comfortable seating and cabanas, or inside, like we did, since it was actually a little cool on our first night in Eze. The host was awesome, even offering us a blanket, if we were too cool. We even came back a second time. Some fellow guests, at the B&B, came here every night for their dinner. Truly a total dining experience!
The restaurant now is under new management, not that the old was in any way lacking. I was quite surprised by the facelift. It has gone from something very Provencal and low key, to rather swanky. As ever the food is good, and the wine list spectacular!Great outdoor space. All in all a delight, particularly when you compare it with the restaurants in nearby Monaco and Nice. Prices are not cheap, but not too high either, somewhere in between.
We went twice last week as the food was so good. They have a very inventive chef and have reduced their prices so we ate really well and not very expensively.
From mashed canned tuna fish as the 'amuse-bouch' to very ordinary (to be gentle) main dishes; and a bill mistake (in favor of the house); I am sorry to state that this beautifuly situated small restaurant has slipped. I did enjoy the troop of wild pigs in the garden that came from the wild surroundings to see who was having lunch.
